Rating count
The total number of ratings your app has received, also displayed on the listing.
Rating count is the number of customer ratings ever submitted. Apps with under 100 ratings show 'Not enough ratings' and miss out on conversion lift from social proof. Once you cross 1,000 ratings, the rating count itself becomes a credibility signal. Apps with 100,000+ ratings benefit from inertia — even mediocre updates struggle to move the average meaningfully. The smart pattern: prompt for ratings at moments of delight (after the user completes a successful action), never after errors.
